³⁶ But they ^(A)deceived Him with their mouth
And ^(B)lied to Him with their tongue.
³⁷ For their heart was not ^(C)prepared to remain with Him,
Nor were they faithful in His covenant.
³⁸ But He, being ^(D)compassionate, ^(E)atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them;
And He abounded in ^(F)turning back His anger
And did not arouse all His wrath.
